Angela and Paul – you’ll be glad you did!

Charles is like a ray of sunshine in real estate! We were introduced to Charles via friends of ours who recently relocated to the Nashville area from LA. While we weren’t looking to relocate permanently, we fell in love with the area and decided to look for a 2nd home. That’s where Charles came in. First, we have had experience with buying/selling in the LA area and to be frank, aren’t too crazy about most of the realtors we have dealt with in the past. As most of our friends comment “they are all the same here.” So when we were introduced to Charles, it was like a breath of fresh air. I’m not smoking TN anything–it’s true. Even my originally-from-Manhattan-with-a-temperament-to-match husband agreed: Charles is so HELPFUL! We first started by doing a Zoom call so we can give him an idea of the style of homes we like, price range, etc. Also, we discussed areas and the pros/cons. He then sent us a bunch of listings which we whittled down and gave him specifics on WHY those were crossed off the list. From there, we came up with a list of homes that we would spend the day touring on our next trip out to TN. He introduced us to the areas, gave us both pros AND cons (wasn’t just trying to make a quick sale with us) and the background of the developments. Throughout it all, he was pleasant, friendly and even gave us restaurant recommendations (from Indian in Nashville to BBQ in Nolansville). He is also extremely responsive. If I text him, we get a response in a very short time. And it’s not only the area he is familiar with–he even gave us recommendations for private schools in the area. When LA didn’t open schools for Fall (private AND public) we started to worry and thought we needed a Plan B in case it didn’t open for the remainder of the school year. When I asked Charles whether he could recommend private schools as a starting point, he emailed me a list of about 5 and he was honest enough to tell me “first one on that list is a 10/10, rest are 9.8/10. After that, it falls off quite a bit so I wouldn’t bother.” He is also a skilled negotiator. We found a house where we loved the land but the house needed work. He went to the house and FaceTimed us. Walked through the property and again, was HONEST about what looked to be possible/not. We made an offer and he got us the house. We ultimately backed out bc we decided it would be too much updating and would be too much upkeep for a 2nd home (I’m from LA, anytime I see open land with a country house all logic flies out of my head), Charles was gracious through it all and reassured me that we’d find the “perfect” house for me–one with enough land to keep me happy and a house that won’t need that much renovating. If you are considering buying in the Nashville area, CALL CHARLES. If you are from out of state and are considering moving to Nashville area, CALL CHARLES. You will be happy you did.
